Bank connections
Connecting a bank or credit card
How linking works, which accounts are supported, and what we can and can't see.
FinTrack uses Plaid to connect to more than 12,000 US banks, credit unions, card issuers and brokerages.
To connect
- Go to Accounts (or Settings → Connected accounts).
- Choose Connect account.
- Search for your bank and sign in on Plaid's screen.
- Pick the accounts you want to share and confirm.
What FinTrack receives
- Account names, types, balances and the last few digits of account numbers
- Transactions, including merchant and category
- For cards and loans: statement balance, minimum payment and due date where your bank shares them
- For investment accounts: holdings and their value
What FinTrack never gets
- Your bank username or password. You type those into Plaid, not us.
- The ability to move money. Access is read-only.
